Okay I tried it... but there are too many cons to it: First, you have to be online, cos its just a re-working of the website. The search function is awkward. The parallel display does not link the versions together. You can go to a chapter and verse, but the heading chapter and verse display doesnt change, so it says a reference your not looking at. There are ads for books that pop up full screen when youre starting to use it. The plus side, of course, is that you can read lots of versions without paying, but you can do that on the website.

I really enjoyed using this Bible app! Only one thing that caused me to look for another one was that after the update, Nov 13/2014, it wouldnt open any more. Even after restarting my phone I was not successful opening it... Very sad :( I wish this could be fixed and I come back to it!

I updated to the latest version and now all it does is crash. Very disappointing, I loved reading the daily verse and reading the Bible when I had time during the day

Why is there only the Douay-Rheims translation available? At Bible Gateway online you can find NABRE, NRSVCE and more. The app works well despite the omissions. Disappointed.

What an amazing app!! Every thing and anything at your fingertips to study the Word! At first I just used it to look up a certain verse and compare or with another translation. Then I realized I could go to bed listening to the Word if God. Now I found out that I can study the Scriptures easily by highlighting the verse and touching the file box! In depth study on everything! Thank you so very very much! I also appreciate the versions that can be read aloud for you and the ability to have any of them off-line! Thank you! This app is such a blessing that I am so thankful for. The dramatized version of the audio Bible is so well done, I love listening to it! I pray that God blesses the person who made this app, because it will be a wonderful tool for so many Christians and an excellent way to spread the Gospel. Thank you!!!

Great App very user friendly. I quiet enjoy the audio part of the app it has a lot of variety. I would recommend this app to all those interested in a Biblical app for their IPhone. God Bless!

Plz release an update for IOS 8.3, my gateway app started freezing once I updated my iPad software. Or can someone tell how to fix this problem. P.S. I love this app.

Why did you change it, was great to be able to go directly to selection and get all translations at once , have no idea of how to find that now Liked the other one because I could go to a verse and get it all translations Too many steps to go thru on this app to get to what I want

Disgusted that Bible Gateway claims they need to have these ads to support themselves but they sold out . God is bigger than this and its annoying the way their ads pop up in front of you when you want to read WHAT GOD HAS TO SAY . Enjoy your $$$$ Bible Gateway!!!

This was a really nice little app, which I used often. But a recent update has brought interruptive ads that damage the usability of the app and are sometimes most inappropriate. (The first ad featured satanic-sounding rock music.) Im really disappointed.

Ive used and loved the app, but since your recent update, the bible will mot allow me to return to my last reading in the history. It returns to genesis and freezes there. Please assist

Nice app and the menu design allows fluidity but I find the app freezes and crashes quite often. Also, the reading plans are a little askew, you can only start at the beginning of one if you make the start day Jan. 1

As you search the bible to look up a passage, an ad appears, covering the entire app and keyboard as you type. This is despicable behavior from the app makers.

Three stars owing to plenty of bugs/crashes, BUT, its still a great resource with loads of freely accessed resources.
